Panther

A long overdue commission just recently carved, 12” high, 20” long, in Kilkenny blue limestone - very tough stuff, around 400 million years old. When polished it goes very dark, almost black (an absurdly laborious process but I’m really looking forward to the result, there’s nothing like the look and feel of rippling polished stone). I carved the stone more angular than the model so it would catch the light once it’s been polished, but there’s no knowing how it’ll actually read until it’s finished.
